A non-profit civil association dedicated to serving the residents of Tirirt Izkarn and strengthening the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among its community members. Since its establishment, the association has played a key role in local community management and has contributed to providing essential services for residents, while remaining committed to promoting the common good and serving the public interest.
The Association of Tourirt Izakarn for Development and Cooperation was founded in 2000 under the name Tamunt Association for Development, Cooperation, and Environmental Protection, through a joint initiative of the residents of the douars of Tourirt Izakarn and Timosan. This initiative aimed to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and collective action among the community, with the goal of unifying local efforts and contributing to the improvement of social, economic, and environmental conditions in the area through the implementation of development projects and activities serving the public interest.
In a later stage of its journey, the association underwent an organizational transition when the residents of the Timosan douar established their own independent association, while the original association continued its social and development activities in the douar of Tourirt Izakarn. Since then, it has operated under its current name, the Association of Tourirt Izakarn for Development and Cooperation, remaining committed to serving the community and promoting sustainable local development through initiatives and projects that address local needs.

At the beginning of 2026, the association enters a new phase in its development journey, building on over two decades of field experience.
Alongside continuing its core mission of managing water-related services, the association adopts a broader, more comprehensive vision aimed at actively contributing to local development in all its dimensions.
Believing in the importance of the role of youth in building the future, the Youth Committee was established within the association to serve as a proactive body and a space for youth participation in developing the douar and contributing to the implementation of development initiatives.
